Questions and Answers
Facility Hours: The club is open from 7:00 am until 9:00 pm. Gates lock and alarms automatically set at 9:08 pm.
Weight Room: Open from 6am to 9pm. You must have a signed waiver on file to have gym access.
Racquetball Courts: Open 9am to 7:30pm.
Spa: Open 10 am to 7:30pm. Key is checked out at the front desk, or in the lock box, (call for code)
Closures: Wrightwood Country Club hours of operation are subject to change due to unforeseen weather conditions or due to emergency situations.
Club Access & Member Sign In: Members will be given a key Card to enter the access gates year-round. Upon entering, members must sign in at the gate table. Key card replacement is $30.00Sharing access key cards with non-members and failure to sign in guests can result in forfeiture of membership.
Member Guest Passes: Any additional non-member use of facility invited by members will require the use of pre-purchased guest passes. Members may purchase 2 guest pass cards per season for $100.00 each (Total of 20 passes). Passes are not to be resold or given to non-members. Passes for guests are required year-round. No day passes available. Members must inform Guests of the rules. Guests: Persons ages 4 and up require a guest pass and are required to have a signed waiver per each visit. Guests must be accompanied by the hosting member. Guests are not allowed to remain at the facility without the host member present.
Party Reservations: Reservations are required one week in advance for all parties. Members may not sponsor any parties or events for non-members. Member contract signer must be present during the event. Additional “Release of Liability” insurance may be required from member’s insurance policy. Members are limited to two parties per year purchasing $10.00 party passes per person. Number of guest’s allowed is dependent on area reserved. Booking of multiple areas next to each other to increase attendance by one member is not allowed. A guest list of non-members must be submitted to gatekeepers 1 week prior to the event.
Picnic Areas: No saving of areas. All areas not reserved are on a first come basis. Members may come early to set up but equipment and area cannot be left unattended.
Canopies: Canopies are numbered and must be reserved in advance. If not reserved, canopies are open for member use. There are a maximum number of 20 non-member guests allowed per canopy. Gazebo and #1 is 30 guests. Please bring extra chairs for your guests.
Umbrellas/EZ Ups: EZ ups are not allowed because of erratic wind patterns. Fixed umbrellas are for your convenience. When departing your area please help us preserve our umbrellas by closing them. There is no saving or reserving umbrellas. Umbrella stands are available. No stakes in the ground.
BBQ’s: Community shared propane grills are available with a $5.00 charge. No Open Fires!
Gazebo and Dock: Advanced pre-paid reservation for the Gazebo or Dock is required. Contact the Gatekeeper’s for dates available. Members wanting to use the area around the Gazebo or Dock should first check if areas are reserved.
Clubhouse: The Clubhouse is available to rent for special events. See gate keeper or management for more information, availability and rates.
Weddings: Weddings and Receptions can be booked for members and their families use only. Limited dates are available so not to impact the member’s use of the facility. Check with the manager for additional information, availability and rates.
Lake Toys: You are welcome to bring your own lake toys nothing larger than a 5 foot raft or float.No HARD PLASTIC toys, (only inflatables) floating in the lake. We have an air pump available on site. No squirt guns or water balloons allowed. No skateboards, scooters, etc. on property. Bicycles can be locked up inside on a bike rack. No Drones.
Pets/Service Dogs: Pets are not allowed. Service dogs must be pre-registered and current vaccinations must be provided to management.
Dog Days are the first 2 weekends in October, see calendar of events.
Winter Usage: Sledding and snow playing are only allowed at the west end of the lake on the upper field. No snowboards allowed. No sledding or playing around the lake. We have kid size snow shoes to use.
How old do I have to be? Children under 12 must be supervised by a responsible person over 16. Children 6 and under must be accompanied to the restroom by someone over 16.
Babysitters: Members may send a babysitter with their children under 12 for free when they are not present. Babysitter names must be listed with gatekeepers and must be over 16. Babysitters accompanying parents with their children must have a guest pass.
Swimming: Please respect the clean water. We are required to test the water weekly for bacteria levels. Please do not PEE in the water. Swim pants are available for free in the snack bar for toddlers. Blue color is added to the water to impede the sun from penetrating the water for reduced algae growth. Shallow end is marked by white/blue buoys. Children under the age of 14 must take a swim test administered by a lifeguard. Children under 14 must take this swim test to ride in floating devices in the deep end. Member is responsible for informing their guests of the swimming rules.
Sunbathers: There is no saving of umbrellas or spots on the grass lake front area, from the snackbar to the gazebo (no tables of any size or cooking devices allowed in this area). Sunbathers have the “right of way” on the grass and sand sides of the lake. People wishing to play yard games or other sports may play up on the athletic field. Please be mindful of attire. We are a family facility. You will be asked to coverup if your suit is too small.
Lifeguards: There is no swimming unless a lifeguard is on duty. Lifeguards are on duty starting Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend. Normal lifeguard hours are 10am to 8pm or earlier. Check with lifeguards for water safety rules. Safety is our #1 priority. Our lifeguards are not babysitters; please watch your children at all times. You may wade in the shallow end with a responsible babysitter 16 and over or adult at your own risk.
Facility use Reservations: Tennis Court, Racquetball Court, and Spa: While not required, reservations are recommended. Check the reservation book at the front desk or call 760-249-4675 or 760-488-3468. Reservations may be made up to 48 hours in advance. Members may reserve one hour on the hour for tennis and racquetball and ½ hour for the spa.
Racquet Ball: No one under the age of 14 is allowed in the room without a responsible adult. Proper court shoes must be worn at all times. Court time is 1 hour. Key is at the gate table or in the lock box.
Tennis/Pickleball Courts: The courts are to be used for Tennis or Pickle Ball, and exercise classes only. Rules are posted on the entrance gates. Tennis shoes must be worn at all times. No flip flops or bare feet. No food or drinks, except water, are allowed on the courts. Court #2 and #3 have light timers for night playing. Court #3 is a Pickle Ball court. Bring your own equipment or check with gatekeepers to see if equipment is available. Children must be 16 or older to be on courts without a parent.
Disc Golf: Maps are available with a list of rules. There may be times when baskets are removed for special event safety. Check with gatekeepers.
Spa: Please shower before entering spa, (this helps to minimize the bacteria levels in the water from soap and sun screen, and is required by the health department). A maximum of 4 bathers in a ½ hour period in the spa. No one under the age of 16 is allowed inside the gate area. No glass or bottles allowed inside gated area. Gate must be locked after each use so small children do not wander in. Key located at gate table or in lock box.
Weight Room: Only Members are allowed in the weight room. No Guests Allowed. There are no exceptions, (violation of any rules can constitute automatic suspension of your membership).Hours 6AM-9PM Signing in is required upon entering. Members may not leave unsupervised children under 12 at facility while inside using weight room. No one under the age of 16 is allowed in the room at any time, with the exception of young teen’s ages 14 and 15 that are accompanied and supervised by their parent. Disposable wipes are available to clean equipment after use. Complete list of rules is posted in the gym. Radios are not allowed in weight room. Please bring your own earphones and device for music. Surveillance cameras are on location.
Walking Trail: Moderate walking trail is steep and narrow in places. Use caution. Appropriate shoes necessary. Not recommended for children under 10 without adult supervision.
Frogs (Toads) and Fish: Please do not remove or disturb the frogs in the lake. They need cool water to stay alive. We have a special habitat area for the frogs that is off limits. Frogs cannot be put in any form of container.
Club Courtesy & Behavior: Please respect Club personnel. Profane language and rude intentionally aggressive and unsafe behavior is not tolerated. Inappropriate behavior should be reported to the management at the time of occurrence. Such behavior can be subject to loss of membership.
Non-Smoking and Alcohol Rules: Wrightwood Country Club has implemented a smoke free policy to provide a clean, healthy and safe environment for all. This also includes our private parking lots. No smoking, e-cigarettes or vaping. Please be responsible when consuming alcohol. If there is a problem, you will be asked to leave the facility and can result in the loss of your membership. Members are responsible to inform their guests of the alcohol and non-smoking rules.
Lost & Found: Towels, clothes and shoes are kept at our lost and found before being donated to charity every Friday. Please check with the Manager or Gatekeeper’s if you lost something of value.
